Is your story right for the God Makes Lemonade series? Lemonade stories begin with the sour parts of life: illness, tragedy, heartbreak, or disappointment. But lemonade stories never stay sour—there’s always a surprising and sweet outcome showing God is at work. 

Our stories aren’t about overcoming tragedy and difficulty with our own hard work, as helpful as those stories can be. In a lemonade story, something unexpectedly good happens that’s outside our control—that never would have happened without something painful happening first. Lemonade stories don't end with a conversion, either. . . there's always an additional sweet outcome like a new job, marriage, or recovering from a health issue.  That doesn't mean sucessful lemonade stories can't include conversions—they can!—but it does mean that the lemonade needs to be an external event.  These external events are often connected to a conversion, but don't forget the events themselves—they're what make every story different and compelling!
